In team of 5, we took part in OzCHI Student Design Challenge 2012,an annual international student design competition run as part of the OzCHI conference. Since its inception in 2009 the competition has grown to attract 226 participants, forming 62 teams from 10 different countries.

Problem statement:
To design the future of emails in a way that its 9 times effective than the present system .
Duration: 24 hrs

Methodology
In order to have a better idea of the problem statement, we devoted our initial time, researching on it at a individual level. This was followed by hours of brainstorming sessions.
Then a user survey was conducted among people of diverse age groups so that problems of each group are taken into account while designing the interface.

We firmly believed that users can be broadly divided in three sets: youth, working men, housewife.
Hence characteristic features were included for the three sets. Following are some of the common problems faced by them and their solutions that we have come up with.
Problems                                                                   Solutions

In addition to this, we designed a wrist band that could give portable connection to emails irrespective of location. The wrist band was based on the concept of cloud computing having a virtual interface and was gestured controlled.
